Rooms/Rates – The John L. Stam House has four beautifully decorated rooms fitted with antique furniture and linens which surround guests and transport each one back to an era of warm and gracious hospitality. Extend that hospitality by cuddling up in one of the robes provided while you receive coffee delivered to your door in the morning to help you gently prepare for your day.
3rd Floor Rooms:
The Horsey Room Rate – $190; $30/night for extra person.
A spacious suite with queen bed and separate sitting area. A love seat can be made into a separate twin bed. The private bath comforts and relaxes with a Jacuzzi claw footed tub. Located under the eaves, this room features the classic Palladian and Gothic windows of Gothic Revival architecture.
The Hill Room Rate – $170 Decorated in Victorian rose with king or twin beds, this room features a Gothic window. It’s romantic private bathroom is of particular architectural note. Located in the tower, stairs lead to a claw footed tub where guests can relax in the ultimate escape, while essential components of the bathroom are conveniently located on the same level as the bedroom.
2nd floor rooms:
The Stam Room Rate – $180 High ceilings accentuate the queen size antique Welsh brass and Iron bed, where morning sun bathes the romantic periwinkle blue and pale yellow custom designed décor. The private bath is tiled in black and white to compliment the era of the house while meeting all modern conveniences.
The Jarrell Room Rate – $170. Soft shades of sage and rose set off beautiful English mahogany antiques with inlaid satinwood. The canopied four-poster bed is a queen size reproduction made to match in England and covered in custom linens made in Oxford, England. As in the Stamp Room, the private bath is tiled in black and white.
